The “Bio and Press Shots” workshop on Friday 29th May is run by Claire Dupree, editor of NARC. Magazine, and local photographer Amelia Read. The aim is that each artist walks away equipped with decent press pics, a bio and all the tools necessary for a press release.
Within the workshop we will discuss what press are looking for from a band/artist, including press releases, images, biographies, social media etc. Claire Dupree will give some examples of good press releases and how to effectively use biogs/press releases to get messages across. We will also talk a little about resources and the importance of joined up campaigns (radio/tours etc). Local photographer Amelia Read will take high quality press shots of each artist. There will be an open Q+A at the end of the session.
